December Goal Report

Better! Not much better but getting there…

As this is an end of year goal report I’m also going to reflect on how it went throughout the year and leave improvements for 2016 goals!

Health

Nutrition

1. Learn to cook

I will easily cook at least one new meal/recipe every other week until the 31st December 2015.

Update: I have learnt to cook a lot more which means I have to spend less which is great as a student, however as I’ve said before one recipe every two weeks is too much.

For 2016: I will endeavor to improve my cooking by using more exciting recipes, I will need to find a measure for this but variety is the spice of life right?!

2. Eat better

I will easily only eat chocolate and other treats on friday or saturday until 31st December 2015.

Update: This has gone pretty badly throughout the year although I’m not stuffing my face with shit anyway so that’s alright.

For 2016: This is still important to me as my sugar addiction seems to still be quite strong. I’ve stopped drinking soft drinks, so it is lower but I’m going to try and eat much more healthily, cutting the chocolate completely switching it for apples etc.

Exercise

3. Fitness

I will easily do some form of exercise (running, gym, calisthenics) everyday until 31st December 2015.

Update: Throughout the year I was going to the gym and running pretty regularly however not everyday like I thought.

For 2016: This is still very important for me however everyday is excessive, I would like to aim for at least 4 days a week in the new year and maybe take on a half marathon.

Wealth is the category where I look at knowledge and money

Academics

I will easily achieve a First class in all of my assignments until 31st December 2015.

Update: I have only had one result so far which was a first so, so far so good. It has been a lot of work though.

For 2016: Working hard for this so it will definitely stay in 2016

Income

5. Personal Evolution

I will easily update my blog at least once a fortnight and create high quality content until 31st December 2015.

Update: I have neglected this blog for too long, so will endeavor to reapply myself to get this moving again. I have made a few new posts in December.

For 2016:  I like the direction of the blog so I will continue to pursue that for now. I will aim for at least 1 post a month but I’m not sure how much time I will have. I’d rather post quality than quantity.

6. Passive Incomedownload (3)

I will easily achieve £500/month from online activities by 31st December 2015.

Update: I’ve almost done it! I’m up £300 in 10 days using this matched betting thing! So whilst the other months have been terrible, this is promising!

For 2016:  I would like to try and hit the £5000 a month for the end of next year from online activities the top end of matched betting is £1000/month so am going to have to bustle hard if I’m to achieve this new target….

Relationships

7. Dating

I will easily go somewhere new with my girlfriend by 31st December 2015.

Update: This was quite an easy one as there are good transport links in Leeds so we went to the Dales to do a walk. And even though we didn’t make it as far as we’d hoped it was still an enjoyable experience. We also went to Croatia in August so that was lovely.

For 2016:  I would like to keep this going as it’s great fun.

Churrasco_carioca8. Friends/Family

I will host a dinner at least once a month for friends until 31st December 2015

Update: One thing I can say without doubt that I have completed due to the formation of a regular “monday club” for my friends where we take it in turns to cook a big dinner up.

For 2016:  I am definitely going to keep this up next year

Higher Purpose

9. Books

I will easily read a wider range of both fiction and non-fiction books until 31st December 2015.

Update: I have read both Elon Musk’s Biography and just started John D. Rockerfellers. As for fiction, I haven’t really done much as I have been focussed on business oriented books and academic reading.

For 2016: More non-fiction is great thanks, I feel the more I read the better I connect with people so will be keeping this up

10. MeditationPhra_Ajan_Jerapunyo-Abbot_of_Watkungtaphao.

I will easily meditate for at least 20 mins each day until 31st December 2015.

Update: I am dissapointed to say this hasn’t happened, however I will be getting back to this for the remainder of December.

For 2016: Meditation should be an easy one so I am going to try to do this for the new year.

Miscellaneous

11. Typing speed

I will easily learn to touch type and improve my typing speed to 100 words per minute by 31st December 2015.

Update: Another goal that has gone out the window due to university pressures and neglecting to write this blog consistently.

For 2016: As I type everyday this should be an easy one so I am going to try to do this for the new year.

I will easily have completed all of the Duolingo French course by 31st December 2015

Update: A goal like this takes time, and while I have began the study I have not had time to complete it.

For 2016: I don’t actually need this so will put it on hold as I focus on getting paid first then other things.

13. Diversify Personal Evolution

I will easily release a wider range of content on my blog so as to fulfill the 4 areas of life until 31st December 2015.

Update: I have neglected this blog for too long, so will endeavor to reapply myself to get this moving again.

For 2016:  I like the direction of the blog so I will continue to pursue that for now. I will aim for at least 1 post a month but I’m not sure how much time I will have. I’d rather post quality than quantity.
